A summer evening of creativity, conversation and South African connection is coming to Vienna. Led By Her, the women-led community within The Lekker Network, is bringing together a small group of South African and South Africa-connected women for a relaxed painting evening at a local Viennese market. The gathering forms part of a wider series of Led By Her events taking place in cities around the world throughout August, celebrating South African Women’s Month and creating space for women across the diaspora to connect through shared culture, experiences and community. Guests will be invited to settle in, pick up a paintbrush and enjoy an informal evening together connecting and sharing our experiences of living and working abroad. No painting experience is needed, and there will be no formal programme. The focus is simply on creating for pleasure not purpose, meeting new people and enjoying meaningful conversation in good company. The evening will be hosted by Natalia Carvalho, a South African entrepreneur based in Vienna. Natalia is the founder of Estrela Studio, a female-led branding and digital design studio working between Vienna and Cape Town. Founded over five years ago, the studio works closely with its clients to solve meaningful challenges through design, building partnerships that feel personal rather than transactional and helping businesses create better products and more human experiences. She is passionate about creating opportunities for South Africans abroad to connect, exchange ideas and build a stronger sense of community.
